Born Nov. 4, 1924, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003. Cremation will be private. Mr. Klingstein was a handyman. He is survived by his children,
    Jeri Potter of Denver,
    Nancy (Bob) Southard of Spring Grove
    and Barbara (Loren) Van Abbema of Hannibal, Mo.;
    and grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Rose (nee Simonson) Klingstein. A memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle St., Suite @#900, Chicago, IL 60604. He was past president of the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce and the Retailers Pet Supply Association of Chicago. Surviving are his widow, Rose; a son, Gerald, and three death of a volunteer fireman.
