She never remarried. Instead, she and her sister-in-law, Olive, Daniel Young's widow, shared a house together. They grew the most beautiful flowers in their yard in Sultan. Sophie was the first telephone operator in Sultan. She later invested in real estate. The Jenft Building still stands on Main St. in Sultan.
