At that time a resident of Wilkesville, Vinton Co., Ohio. Married to Polly Holcomb 3/Sept/1840 in Vinton Co., Ohio(previously married to Benjamin Holcomb w/one son William who was 49 y/o on Aug 28, 1879). Was in Huntington Township in Gallia Co., Ohio and moved to Jeffersonville, Fayette Co., Ohio. He and Polly had four children Steward (born 1 year after marriage), Henry (born 2-3 years after marriage), Hiriam? and Josephine (married William Marks) in order of age. Steward and Hiriam both served in the Army, both in listed in 1861 and served three years. Both died after returning home, not sure how long after, but both died about the same time. Henry and Josephine both still alive in 1880. Henry and his wife had five children, he lived in Huntington Township in Gallia Co., Ohio. A letter in his pension file that stated that he was a poor man who could have used the money. Also stated that he moved from farm to farm due to money problems.
