      "FOUND DEAD IN BED
      Patrick Joyce, of Crabtree, Dies Suddenly of Heart Trouble-A True and Typical Irishman.
      ??Patrick Joyce, of Crabtree, one of the oldest residents in the county was found dead in his bed Wednesday morning. Squire Cooper held an inquest and rendered a verdict of death from heart trouble. Mr. Joyce was known to have heart trouble for several years and his sudden death has been expected for some time.
      ??Deceased was born in Ireland and was eightly years old. He came to this country in 1848, locating in Pennsylvania. He soon afterward came to this country (county? ~JSR), has resided here almost continuously ever since. He went to Dakota a few years ago when the western fever struck this country, making the trip overland in an emigrant wagon. He was dissatisfied with the country and returned soon afterwards, only to make another trip westward a few years later. Altogether he has made four trips to Dakota and back in an emigrant wagon. His last trip was about three years ago. When the small pox was raging several years ago, his family was taken down with it and he buried six daughters in one week. Four children are now living; Phillimenia who is living at home, and John and two married daughters in North Dakota. His wife, who is about sixty-five years old survives him
      ??Patrick Joyce was a good, honest, industrious Irishman with all the virtues and convictions characteristic of that nationality. He had many friends. His purse was always open to the poor and needy. Poor Pat-there are those who will always revere his memory."
